Ghostnote Studio started out as a rehearsal room, housed in a building that was built in 1944 for auto repairs, then for decades was used as a storage facility. In the year 2000, under new ownership, the building was insulated and sound barrier coatings were put in place so musicians could rehearse without disturbing the surrounding residence. In April of 2001, the building met it's final incarnaton as a two-room 24 track recording studio. The live room was 10' x 17' and the control room was 7'x17'.

On May 1, 2010 the rain fell.  It fell three ways... Hard, Fast and Continuously. In what some dubbed the hundred year flood, the building housing Ghostnote Studio met the fate of it's musical neighbours in Nashville, TN just off the Cumberland river. While most of the equipment was saved, the owners took this as a sign to rebuild completely and expand.

We are currently under-construction of our new facility. We hope to be open and fully functional by Fall 2012.
